A three-phase asynchronous motor (Triple-phase asynchronous motor) is a type of motor powered by simultaneously connecting to a 380V three-phase AC power supply (120-degree phase difference). Because the rotor and stator rotating magnetic fields of the three-phase asynchronous motor rotate in the same direction but at different speeds, there is a slip, hence the name three-phase asynchronous motor.

There are many forms of motors, but their operating principles are all based on the laws of electromagnetic induction and electromagnetic force. Therefore, the general principle of their construction is: to use appropriate magnetic and conductive materials to form magnetic circuits and circuits that conduct electromagnetic induction with each other to generate electromagnetic power and achieve the purpose of energy conversion.

A three-phase asynchronous motor is an induction motor. After current is passed into the stator, part of the magnetic flux passes through the short-circuited ring and induces a current in it. The current in the short-circuited ring hinders the change in magnetic flux, causing a phase difference between the magnetic flux generated by the part with the short-circuited ring and the part without the short-circuited ring, thus forming a rotating magnetic field. After being energized and started, an electromotive force and current are induced in the rotor windings due to the relative motion between them and the magnetic field. That is, there is a relative speed between the rotating magnetic field and the rotor, and they interact to produce an electromagnetic torque, causing the rotor to rotate and achieve energy transformation.
